Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993, and the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous papers and grants to her name and is the recipient of numerous national and global distinctions. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the globe on policy as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of several professional associations such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
